Biography
Covanni is a Chartered Accountant, Certified Fraud Examiner, and qualified Ethics Officer with a deep passion for integrity and doing what is right.
After completing her articles at Deloitte, Covanni transitioned into academia, lecturing at the University of Johannesburg. She made a meaningful impact on her students' lives by teaching the abstract yet logical discipline of auditing. Later in her academic career, she expanded her teaching portfolio to include IT Risk and Risk Management as part of the university’s master’s program.
In addition to her academic contributions, Covanni founded her own accounting and consulting company, providing ethics and fraud consultancy services to SMEs. Her work enables businesses without in-house resources to strengthen their ethical foundations and combat fraud effectively.
Covanni finds immense fulfillment in teaching and advising others, helping them improve their business models and professional skills. She firmly believes in lifelong learning, embracing the notion that growth and adaptation are essential in an ever-changing world.
