Biography
Steven is a registered auditor and CA (SA). Amongst his five degrees he has a Master's degree in Law from the School of Law at the University of the Witwatersrand and a Doctorate in Business Administration from the Graduate School of Business and Leadership at the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
Steven is an IFRS and Corporate Governance expert. He has worked at Nkonki as Head of Technical and IFRS Advisory for approximately 10 years before joining Nexia SAB&T.
He has extensive experience in IFRS requirements including the implementation of new IFRS standards. Steven has lectured for many years at various universities and other higher education institutions in the fields of accounting and finance.
He has written and co-written a number of research papers published in various academic and professional journals.
Steven has been a presenter on various accounting topics at international conferences and has facilitated many training sessions on accounting and auditing.
Steven served on SAICA's Assurance Guidance Committee for 4 years and was a member of the American Accounting Association Auditing Guidance Committee for 4 years. He is currently part of the Technical and IFRS Advisory department of Nexia SAB&T.
