Overview
This is the third lesson in a series that looks at the Ten Soft Skills Everyone Needs in the Workplace. In this session we will take a look at Time and Attention Management. time management is really about managing our attention. Staying focused on the task at hand is more difficult than it ever was, with open work spaces and an infinite number of media sources vying for our wandering attention. Of course, some people are naturally goal- driven and can more easily stay focused in spite of distractions. While others are “interrupt driven”, in other words, their mind gives priority to external distractions, making it very difficult to stay focused. For those who are easily distracted, it’s important to put some kind of structure in place to help maintain focus when necessary.
