Death is an unfortunate reality for all of us.
We are all aware that we should have our affairs in order when the time comes, but often we don’t really know what this means.
The aim of this session is to look at what makes for a valid will and what the consequences are when you don’t have one.
After attending this course, delegates will have gained an understanding of the competencies mentioned below and must be able to apply the concepts and techniques in most situations and environments:
- Identify a valid will
- Understand some of the key features of a good will
- Understand the consequences if the Intestate Succession Act must be applied
- Be able to advise a client as to the pro’s and con’s of having a will versus being subjected to the Intestate Succession Act.
