Preparing a set of financial statements is a stressful exercise. There are a lot of factors a compiler must keep in mind:
- Is the trial balance trustworthy?
- What year end adjustments need to be made?
- What disclosures am I missing?
This stress is often made worse when we are not comfortable with using CaseWare as a compilation software package.
Join us for a practical session whereby we turn a trial balance into a set of financial statements using CaseWare Working Papers.
We will discuss who can compile a set of financial statements
We will explain the key elements of the international standards used when performing a compilation engagement
Documents relating to each phase of the audit: planning, execution and completion, will be discussed.
A compilation exercise will be performed by the presenter and attendees, including importing trial balance, mapping, passing journals and editing the annual financial statements.
