A letter of Executorship has now been issued and the administration process can begin. Far less admin is required where a Letter of Authority is issued, but you as still obliged to deal with all the assets and liabilities of such a deceased estate, which we will be discussed during this session.

The deceased estate comprises of all the deceased’s assets and liabilities and the main object of the administration process is to ensure that all assets of the deceased are gathered, liabilities are paid in order to make a distribution to heirs. A deceased cannot own any assets and/or liability after the administration process has been completed .
